Forgot to mention the gars, fishing for them is AWESOME!!!
Tie on pretty much anything that can entangle their teeth, or a lure if your not into sight fishing, and you can have a blast catching gars all day long. Most I caught was about 15-20 gars in 4 hours!!! Using a zara spook and rope. Biggest I caught was at least 3 feet long.

Sweet! I have to try this; I have been trying to find gar to catch for the past couple of weeks, but no luck so far. I'll try the lure/rope combo; I tried the just plain rope lure, but no luck due to not being able to see the fish.

Allegheny River between Lock/Dam 5 and Lock/Dam 6; basically, the upper part of the lower Allegheny lol. I have a map of where I fished at here; my goal is to catch a couple for my pond so I can always have a chance to catch them.

Woo, caught a big bass today. Caught him in a river, thought I hooked a rock...I was wrong.

Holy crap..20 pike! That's insane..I've yet to catch a pike this season

Well the wife and I woke up early I knew we had a small window where the heat wouldn't kill us so instead of getting the boat out I dedcided we could go to the pier and fish some carp real quick.
Here is the sunrise and who needs a rod pod when you have a pinic table handy.

We went 4 for 6 all about the same size except for one large one that the wife had on and the line broke while trying to net it.

Oh and a snapping turtle as well.

We called it quits at 7:30 am so not bad for a couple hours.
