Well, fishing today went good; caught a bunch of LMB and bluegill. The LMB were about the same size as the bluegill though, lol. I mainly used the pictured spinnerbait and a $1 Walmart buzzbait lol.

I have to say..I love spinnerbaits
They always produce fish.Tamer I use a slip sinker rig ( Carolina rig ) and a #6 bait holder hook with 4 peices of corn and make sure the point of the hook isn't showing. Also don't tight line keep the line slack so when the carp picks up the bait it doesn't feel the weight right away.
Hair rigs work awsome but I see no need here to go the extra effort since they seem to bite the carolina rigs.

Thanks as my river has some 25+ pounders, as Ive snagged a few but I would rather catch them in the mouth as they are hard fighting fish and fun to catch.cichlidfinder;3227256; said:

Had alittle time on my hand before heading home so i stopped real quick to throw the buzzy and my experimental lure(top water plug). I banged a little one on the buzzy and one got off as i was pulling it through some lillies. Havent caught anything on the plug but i had my first bite on it today but it missed the whole bait.
The bite was slow today but atleast i got out!!!

went out for about 3 hours today, to a creek. And didnt catch a whole lot. My boy got the trout first cast, and after that the bite died. I landed one small bass and fished another 2 hours before calling it quits.
