I know the winter run on the ST. joe can produce some monster walleyes. But even in Mich. 27 inch land lock walleye don't grow on trees there either.

I had a bass bigger than anything i've seen swim up and stare down my mister twister for like 3 minutes. I wish i could have caught some crayfish, i would have burned them up then.
I made a minnow trap out of a 2L bottle and we threw it in this pond near the lake that was swarming with minnows. When i walked down the next morning i saw two kids about my age with my trap beside a minnow bucket. I told them it was my trap and the one got all in my face and the other one gathered all of their crap. I tagged the one kid, he ran off, and i went after the one with my trap but he outran me. I was really pissed about my minnow trap, but i don't know why i fought over it. Just thought that was an interesting fish story.
Caught a 32 inch northern pike too. I filleted it, cooked it, and ate it. Pike's actually not bad at all. I'll have pics up as soon as i can get my phone out of my friends car.
