I found out where all my fellow Steelheaders have been today. And sure enough I finally hooked a skamania today but unluckly it broke me off. But the good thing is I found them, I will be back down there after I get of work tomorow.
. I was also happy that my friend caught his first walleye today while drift fishing. I think I seen at least 20 skamania caught this evening and way more hooked. I hope tomorow is my lucky day if not, oh well.

Destroyer551;3307439; said:You guys are lucky, with all the ponds and lakes here in FL that hold bass, everyone fishes here!!! Meaning that fish are so heavily pressured in some areas I need to use live bait or nothing else works. If I'm using artificials I just catch a punch of 1 pounders. Which is better than nothing but gets boring after a while. I need to find the most remote and unfished place to catch decent sized bass. BUT, most of those places are fenced of or are part of private property. I NEED TO CATCH FISH! And lmb and bluegill REALLY gets boring after a while. I would love to catch pikerel, crappie, and catfish. But most of those places aren't very close.
yuck bass that big dont taste good if your going to keep one next time keep a 14-15 incher. Any above 17 should be let goEsoxAngler;3307585; said:Finnally got the boat wet for the first time this year yesterday, only had a couple hours to fish but got nice eater. 18 1/4 inch river bass caught in Branch Co. Dont get to fish much during the summer because of work and children. My favorite time is late fall while everyone else is deer hunting, big hungry fish trying plump for the winter!

There's no catfish in FL? I always thought they where everywhere, plus they are very easy to catch.
