A few days ago I went out and at about 5:15 the bite turned on. I didnt have a buzzy but the bas were hitting my popper. I missed three, the last two were probably close to 3 pounds. I only got one. look at my other thread for pics.

Today it's national fishingday in holland!
on this day it's legal to go fishing even without a permit,in this way they hope to stimulate people to stop watching tv and explore the outdoors.
Today my 15week summervacation started,and today it's legal to fish for pike again in all the lakes and canals around me!
however,for some stupid reason it's raining all day long with very strong winds which makes it impossible to go fishing.

5.28 Fished one lake in the boat and then did a quik walk around a small pond. We started out late to day, we were on the water by 10:30am and I was back home by 3pm. Once on the lake and the first nice Bass came in the boat only to find that the camera had died totally died. So there where few pics of a good afternoon of fishing. I don't like using my cellphone for pix but no choice. We caught 15 Bass while fishing the lake, JAck 7 to my 8, but after the lake we stopped by this little pond where Jack nailed 2 Bass and on worm and I hit nailed what turned out to be a Bullhead Cat on a rubber worm -what the!
My largest on the lake and for the day was 4.4lbs and JAck banged a 5.2lbs and the Bass where JAck is standing we didn't have the scale with us but I'm guessing it was 5lbs+.
I went out later around 5pm and fished until 7:30pm by myself and caught 11 Bass the largest was approx 3lbs.

Went Fishing Mondaymorning,
We wen't at 5.00 AM hunting for some pike and zander on bait-rigs.
however,we came a bit unprepared as we forgot bait for the baitfish,took us some time to catch some minnows.
My friend was fishing with live minnows,but I thinks it's to risky because we where fishing in the middle of town and cops check fishermen regulary in the area. So i used dead minnows.
It resulted in 4 big fish,all caught by my friend,I ended up catching a few minnows but did have a nip on my dead bait rig.
My Friend caught a 20inch Bream,a 22inch pike and a 33inch pike and a 26inch zander.

We fished from 9pm until 2:30pm the next day. First stop was Assunpink until 2:30am. I banged 11 and D got 5. My 4.3 was the biggest landed ! Then we were back on the water at "Farrington" at 4:30am, we fished there until 12pm. I banged 4 and D got 1. After that I should of just called it quits but after grabbing lunch we went to "Peddie". D landed two and I banged one.....
Coming to realize night fishing is the way to go !!!!!

Dennis banged 5 before we grabbed breakfest and hopped over to "Etra". At Etra I break the ice with my thrid CP of the year. After that I banged 3 bass before we gave up 1:30pm.
Its just to hot during the day so for the most part so I think all my boat trips will be night fishing adventures !!!

On vacation in Vermont, went in the morning to a small stocked reservoir, pouring rain. Caught nothing. Later on, headed down to Lake Champlain for an hour while my mom shopped. Once again, nothing, probably because Champlain's water level was up by 3-5 feet.

After school today, headed back to my favorite place, Franklin Lakes Reservoir. Hit up on a nice 1.25 pounder, but forgot the picture. Caught a few Crappie, along with some Bluegill. Spotted a nice 3-4 pounder in the shallows but he wasn't interested in anything.

5.31 Had alot of stuff to do today, with family and all. But around 5:30pm decided it was time to head over to this small pond thats about 100,000 gallons or less. I fished there for as long as I could stand because theres this litle Wally there thats just driving me mad. This little guy just won't stop, not only can he see the frog streaming across the water surface but he feels the vibration of undersurface lures too and come to investigates. And when I did get a fish on, GOD Dam it's like he has an outboard motor on his butt. Well I managed about 9+ Bass in an hour, all of them small Bass pups like 12 to 18 inches plus I got a Blue gill that hit a Bass size spinnerbait. Tomorrow we're supposed to be fishing one well padded lake and a new lake in a recently finished development.
