Just got my first fish of the year kinda !!
I was a the "Ammy" just casting my rattle trap around. So I got stuck on something and I riped it out and it came back with scales on it. So I already knew it was grass carp. So I kept casting and it happen again but this time the rattle trap caught the tail of a nice 8-10 pound carp.
It's just a fish story now cause my phone died and I couldnt get a picture of it but it felt so good !!
Had another one on but it pulled off and I came back with scales again !

Man, all those pictures of ice fishing are making me cold... I caught my first bass of the year last weekend, it's a little late in the year for my first bass but I've been busy with work and family. It was a sunny 70 degrees on Sunday so I took the kayak out and was throwing Senkos on one rod and a 6 inch Castiac swimbait on the other. Caught my largest and first bass of the year on the Senko. Weighed in at 5 pounds 2 oz. The other 2 fish I caught were in the 2-3 pound range and hit the Swimbait. I think it's going to be a good year!

Ive done that before, I was in Louisiana and I hooked something huge. Fought it for a while than my crankbait came free. Reeled it in and I had a huge scale stuck on the hook the size of a nickel. I always figured it was a gar... could have been a carp too.

Probaly soo... I did that at the Delaware River back in 07 but I was fishing from a bridge that was about 20ft above the water, my 14lb Mono didnt stand a chance with the monster carp !!

Went out yesterday to the lake, water is still a bit to cold but had one take the crankbait put spit it out when it jumped.

Ive been very busy but I made some time today. First stop was "AMC", I seen some poeple catching CP with live bait. I wasnt able to land anything but my boy Dennis got three after I left.
The second spot was "CNJ". Big bruh was there already and had landed one before I got there. I stayed at the front lake and banged 2 and he got another from the back lake.
