FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

Im beat. I did my first offshore fishing from my yak. Hit the beach at around 10:00 AM. First spot was around 2.5 miles out. Took about an hour to paddle out there. I get there only to be greeted by a pod of dolphins. Rats, with flipper and his pals in the area no since in even trying to fish.
I then paddle to my second spot about a half mile to the east. LOTs of kayakers out there. This spot is three sunken barges really close together which makes a big spot to fish. Of course, more dolphins. With no where else to go I fished for about an hour with nothing. Out of 15 yakers and three boats I only saw a couple fish come up and most fish were eaten by the dolphins before the angler could bring it up. After just an hour or so I decided to call it a day and started my hour paddle back.
According to my GPS I paddled a total of a little over seven miles. Even though the fishing wasnt good at all, it was still nice to be able to get out and do a bit offshore fishing for the first time this year.

thats nuts, i hate dolphins when fishing.

How big do walleye get,I always thought that walleye is the US smaller variant of the European Zander.
But 13Ibs is pretty big.
My own fishing season will have a short break. Tommorow it's going to be 23F en thursday it will be 17F with a nighttemperature of -4F.
I really hate ice&snow except when we have an ''Elfstedentocht''.
