FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

I'm gonna try fishing for the first time since the surgery!!! My favorite lures aren't an option since I can't strain my back too much so its gonna be senkos and crawpapis all day wish me luck!!

I've been catching a lot of bass on soft plastics so you should be good. Good luck and dont hurt yourself.
 
+1 good luck but dont jack up ur back on a heavy hookset... if i were you id probably just be throwin beetle spins for the wayward bass and bream but i hope u catch a big one, just not big enough to tear up ur back already ;)

I hit the Gulf this AM. On the water a little after 0800.

Surf wasnt bad but the ENE winds had things pretty snotty out past the color change until about 0930 when the wind died.

With the overnight North wind I did most of my trolling out a bit further then usual. Saw a good number of flying fish. Landed three decent kings and a small mahi, my third from the yak this month. The mahi was just twenty inches but hey, he'll eat up just fine.

All of the kings came on the same color weighted duster and all of my mahi have came off the same color NON weighted duster. I did have another hit on the non weighted duster that sure seemed like a mahi strike but no hook up so who knows.

Off the water by 1030, not a bad quickie at all.

went to lake johnson early this mornin and some mexican guys were fishin the spot i did so well the other day so i went down a little further, got 1 nice bluegill and tossed him back, second fish is in my tank right now - nice bluegill with excellent colors (even though he sure isn't showing em right now) and i then caught another 2. I could tell the mexican guys were gettin mad because they kept talkin louder and louder and giving me aggravated looks every time i pulled a hand sized gill and they kept trying to fish the same way I was. Hit up another 3 off one pylon and they got mad and left lol.

next to last fish was what i was lookin for, a redbreast/bluegill mix with great colors. I stuck him in my bucket and then realized he had 3 or 4 big red sores on his tail so back in to the lake he went. definitely disappointing but glad I got the one thats in my tank now!
