FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if that fish is 27" then that is either a HUGE spinner or the picture squished it. attached is a 25" fat/thick channel cat that my friend mark caught that went right at 8lbs. i could have misinterpreted the picture and be completely wrong which i have no problem admitting if i am wrong, in fact i hope i looked at it wrong but assuming that spinner is about 2" that fish looks to be in the 20" range and fairly thin for it's length. next time pick it u and it will be easier to tell how big it actually is, pictures on the ground with nothing to compare them to can make an impressive fish look fairly small, as i said before either way nice catch

I was alone and not sure the best way to hold it and take a pic at the same time. It laid straight for a minute and it was about3" longer than both my shoes placed toe to heel with each shoe being 12", sorry for the caveman measuring system but I rode my bike there with rod, pliers, scissors and 3 lures in my pocket.

its no worries bud just explaining why i thought it looked smaller than it was. if it was in fact 27" based on the width of the fish you're looking at more of a 5-6lb range fish. i go fishing unequip of all my stuff a lot and those end of being the trips i catch the bigger fish :)

never would have guessed a 27" catfish would only be 3-3.5#, probably should get a scale to help me out until I know what I'm doing.

27" ? just because its a size 12 shoe dosn't mean its 12"... my 17's only measure out to 13 3/4 (roughly).. maybe a 23" and it would go about 4 or 5lbs. depends on thickness and head etc. i remember a 32"er only being 14lbs and we got a 30" that went 17lbs. you just never know.

regardless. it was a nice fish and we should move on :)

the kicks in question are 12.5", any how I haven't caught that many large fish and I'm mostly trying to get a feel for size so that when I read everyone else's post I can have a better
idea as to what they are talking about.
