FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

got my little jon boat registered and working on getting it out into my little river soon. Will be awesome to get to good spots that no bank angler can on this little river. No other boats (besides kayakers) ever fish here. Big flatheads too.

I just pulled my boat up but I won't be able to take it out until next week. I'm on call but I'll be on the river.
 
really want to fish today but it keeps raining every day and i cant fish where i want to... spots are underwater smh - may go fish the stocked catfish pond to catch some dinner
 
Oh yeah, those things hold a ton of meat. Having some people over tonight for fresh mahi tacos with home made pico and mango salsa. The wife unit is making sopapillas for desert.
 
Gonna be in Miami tomorrow any one know a good place to fish from shore and what to use?

heartbreak today... went to lake wheeler today to catch some bream for my pet bass and throw out some catfish lines.. Had a 6" live white perch on my abu with the clicker on so I could play around with the bream and whatnot for fun... the loudspeaker came on that the park closed in 20 minutes so i started packing everything up but that rod. While I was doing this the clicker goes off and I hear that familiar BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I stop what i'm doing, pic up the rod and start reeling (circle hook) I felt the fish for about 15 seconds, I got in about 3 cranks and went to pull up on the rod for a 4th crank and when I did that the fish gave a powerful tail shake and my 20lb leader snapped... I've never caught a monster cat so I can't tell you how big this bad boy was but I felt like I was hooked in to a swimming freight train... I doubt i'll sleep much tonight.... 34 fish landed on the ultralight playing around including 2 small 1-2lb channel cats

1 1/4 lb right? That's my guess. I caught this one on Sunday forgot to post it. Hes about 1' and 2" because his upper lip was hanging over the tape measure. Also notice how the fish looks 10000x smaller in the lipping pic? That's what I meant with the previous
