taking the boat out saturday night. Playing awful close to the spawn, so I am going to take a pack of night crawlers to save a skunk if I have to. Worst case should be able to pick up some gar and drum. Will be fishing very close to log jams to pick off some fish that have bunked up as well as baits in the normal feeding areas.
I always enjoy checking this thread. I miss pulling in 6lb + bass and big ol' flatheads. Unfortunately it is 110 already here, not fun to fish in day or night LOL.

I guess Im a bit spoiled. Had fresh red snapper for dinner tonight. After dinner I filleted yet another mahi mahi to add with the tweny plus pounds I have in the freezer.
The fillet was so big my wife, five year old and I couldnt even finish it.

if it is cooked right gar is real good..nice white meat most people just knock it from what they hear and never try it there selves
