well the battle was short, and slightly satisfying.

the winds were a blowin and the boat was a rockin but we carefully made our way up to the discharge area.
Caught 3 flatheads after the wind settled down, 5.9lbs, 7.03lbs, and a 12.27lber

12.27lber (new personal best) came on cut bait, and the others on whole gill. also caught some small channels (up to 3ish lbs)

river temp was 62ish and discharge ranged from 67 to 72 depending on how close you were, flats came the 67ish area. No Monsters but flatheads are flatheads.

Why arent there any pics?!?! Flatheads are flatheads and always something to be happy about, even the small ones!! Nice work.

Use bigger baits for the big cats. Dont be afraid to thrown down a bait that weighs up to a couple of pounds. Im assuming you are using more then one rod at a time so why not do it? Big baits means big fish. Are you anchored or drifting? Most of the guys I know that fish below dams drift fish with big shad, skipjacks, carp and even drum.

well my first class was canceled this morning so i set an alarm for 7am thinking id go for some morning bass if the weather held up, was like a 40% chance of rain. well i woke up at about 11:30 so needless to say that alarm wasn't very helpful and of course its sunny as can be. blah. nice fish dreams

Fishing with 800 series reefrunners off the in-line boards.. The fish are all spawned out down there, which is early due to weather.
