where do you normally fish for stripers? lots of people been out on the susquehanna but havent seen many caught.

heres the river temps from the past couple days, and yes it dropped about 16 degrees in 48 hours. this is from a station upriver but i find my stretch is almost always the same. this sucks, wont see lows in the fifties again until next tuesday.
I mainly fish for stripers around the Bridge and as far south as Hoopers Island. That'll be fishing from my uncle's boats, not piers or the shoreline. Been reading lots of reports of people hauling in stripers, though. The surveys have been good and i know the big cows are up in the bay. The cold snap slowed down the spawn, but didn't shut it down.
I'm also planning a trip down to OC to try some surf fishing for the first time in a few years, maybe some inlet stripers and flounder as well.

maybe they just arent coming up the rivers this year, i too have seen alot of reports from the bay
I can say with certainty that they are making it into the rivers, as far as the bite and all, I can't speak to that. But I do know that they're up there. I've read that bright green is the color this year for bucktails, sassy shads and parachutes.
yea heard bullfrog-ish patterns, bright green with black dots. Ive caught a handful of schoolie sized, nothing more than 24" on cut bait.
