im just saying its like if i asked on here about a stingray everyone would trip out about it being illegal and how mfk dont condone illegal activity! but the fish would not rot there are animals in the woods that would take a free meal
Huge difference between fishkeeping and fishing in MFK. Keeping an illegal fish can ruin whole hobby, but released an invasive species back in the same water won't ruin fishkeeping hobby or fishing. Yes there are some animals in the woods will eat a dumped fish but NOT ALWAYS. All of my fishing spots regularly have dead fish (rougfish and filleted gamefish) being rotten and many animals prefer fresh fish over stinking fish anyways. Of course not too many animals would eat a big carp, let alone a pile of stinking fish.im just saying its like if i asked on here about a stingray everyone would trip out about it being illegal and how mfk dont condone illegal activity! but the fish would not rot there are animals in the woods that would take a free meal
Still huge difference between keeping an illegal species in here and broke a law that is not fishkeeping related. MFK do not tolerate illegal fishkeeping actions, that's it. As I said before, kill an invasive species is a waste of time and I would release a snakehead or a carp back in the waters if I am not planning to use them for something.there is no difference a law is a law if you approve of releasing invasive species then you approve of owning illegal species you cant be a hypocrite of one law and turn around and break another but i would eat the snakehead. i dont fish for carp so i cant talk on that
well thats your choice to break the law
I have few questions for you. I never heard of any fisherman got caught by a game warden and got fined from released an illegal fish back in the waters where it was caught at.It's a choice that each sportsman is entitled to. Kill invasives if you want, but I'm throwing mine back if I'm not eating it. Snakehead in my avatar was released happy and alive as well as many others. I won't butcher a fish for no reason. You can if you want since you think that is what's right, but everyone has thier choices of moral conduct. Now let's not argue.
