Put the smack down on a few fish in PA this last week. Had way above average temps last week almost in the 80s so I decided to go out to a few ponds for bass. First pond didn't really produce and hit the second one and managed a nice 4lber as my third fish of the year. Ended the day with around 10 fish which I'm happy with in March. This past Sunday headed to NEPA to fish a native brook trout stream. The first holes my cousin and I fished produced fish. I ended the day with 6 and he ended with 4 missed a bunch of fish as well.

Great Brookies! I envy that you get to fish up there so much, SWPA sucks from December until late March LOL.

Nice dude, where'd the LMs come from? You get the brookies on fly or spin?

The bass came from a local pond around my house and the trout came on a spinning setup but I had a fly tied on. The tackle shop I was going to pick up minnows at for whatever reason wasn't open and the secondary one I picked in the Pocono area was closed as well. Luckily my cousin was with me with his fly rod so I borrowed a few flies

Went out with a friend and caught 20 of these guys in 45 minutes at a local retention pond. Lots of large females loaded with eggs.

LOL. Pike season for me starts in two or three weeks and I should pick up a few musky along with them.
STARTS????? As far as I'm concerned there's only a few weeks LEFT. lol Winter and early Spring are prime time for Pike and Muskellunge....at least over here on the Atlantic coastal plain

You guys get spring earlier too. Right now it's still 39°F where I live. SWPA also has virtually no Pike, at least in my area, so I have to wait until boat season starts and I can start chucking jerkbaits in Presque Isle Bay on Erie, As far as Musky, I've tried shore fishing the Allegheny River but I haven't even seen a fish in 4 outings.
