Fishroom people vs. living room fish people

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Right now I only have a 5 gal in my bedroom. When I own my own house I would like to have a 100 - 300 gallon in my living room, maybe a 125, 150, or 180 in my bedroom, maybe my 5gal betta hex in my kitchen, and maybe another 5gal hex dwarf puffer tank in my bathroom.

I like to have tanks in my living quarters so i can enjoy them while im relaxing or just doing whatever around the house.

Well i got a fishroom for fry/hospital/growout it is mainly smaller tanks, five 55-75gal tanks and 3 29gallons. Living room has a 110 and 75. Den has 125, 40, and 200gal. Bedroom has 75, 135, 150. I like having a fishroom I just would rather have my large fish on display. Plus Its great in having a large tank on each side of your bed and at the foot of it. So more or less to me fishrooms are for business and living room/show tanks are for pleasure. Just happy to have both.:D

At the moment fish room (man cave) guy. I too pride myself in having nice display tanks. Also like to hide a few bare bones tanks around for breeding or grow out. In the past I have had them in every room of the house, but new house means new rules. We have a basement so they all go there. New carpet and oak floors means I am way too scared to put a big tank upstairs. One too many leaks or blowouts in my past to put my life on the line with the wife.

Living room gal here - have tanks in living room, office, bedrooms, hall.. wherever they fit. Though I think it would be cool to have a dedicated fish room and walk in & be surrounded by tanks.

I am both.

Would love to have a MAJOR fish room, ( have a smallish one ) but it had to be in the house. I know that if i had that facility somewhe else i would go lazy on o&m.

Gotta agree, my bedroom is ridiculous filled with tanks and if I had my way I'd have a center piece in the living room. I'd also would love a fish/reptile room. Tanks covering half the room stacked DIY terrariums covering the other half. It would be perfect as the tanks would provide the humidity for the terraiums, it's what I've got going on in my room now. Keeps the humidity level around the 60 mark.

Display tanks IN LIVING ROOM SO EVERYONE CAN SEE!
But, small growouts breeding tanks and QT tanks... Fishroom they would JUNK UP YOUR HOUSE LOL:D

I had a fish room in my other house, I don't have one in the townhouse I'm currently living in. I have a 90 and a 10 in the dining room, and a 29 and a 75 in the living room. I am in the process of looking for a 180 or larger, have no clue where I'm going to put that.

i jsut have my 180 and my 40gal in the basment, i guess you can call that a fishroom? lol soon to add another 90. the basments my man cave so everyone who comes over eventually ends up in the basment. and i couldnt focus watching tv or anything if my tanks were in the living room, id be glued to the tanks all day, too distracting
