Hey stiker stiker can we see your tanks ???
Thank you for the request.

Over the next few days I’ll try get some good pictures / videos of each tank (which is not easy due to glare but I will try my best)

In this post I’ll give a run down of my aquariums and include some of the videos / pictures of the tanks / fish I have.

Awesome tanks, stock and scapes stiker stiker

I changed the stock in my 240 from a GT harem and dithers to 5 young, but growing V. melanura / synspila, 8 T. maculippinis, 10 P. mexicana and 1 holdover C. erythrurus... I ultimately plan to thin the melanura stock to one male or a pair, but enjoy watching them now as they tend to shoal a bit together..

I was thinking of maybe adding a pair of COTA's Trichromis Salvini "Rio Candelaria" but was unsure if that might be pushing it.. How are yours temperament-wise..? Have they bred yet and is it manageable.. I've read horror stories.. and also read they may not mesh well w/ Thorichthys due to the similarities although I've also read Toiletcar Toiletcar had success mixing the species..

P.S. M. argenteus and P. friedrichsthalii (formerly loisellei) are tops on my wish list.. I'll be sure to follow your progress w/ the argenteus for tips...

Vieja is one of my favourite Genus of fish, you won’t be disappointed by the Melanura you are growing out. I will likely only be keeping a pair, or possibly a male and 3 females.

My F2 T. Salvini are also from Rio Candelaria (from Rusty’s line) mine are still young so their aggression is currently fine. The largest does show slight aggression to the female V. Maculicauda, but only at feeding time. They haven’t spawned yet but I’m hoping they will soon. I think you should be fine to try a pair of Salvini in that aquarium. T. Maculipinnis (also one of my favourites I have 20 growing out) are the most aggressive in the genus Thorichthys so should be able to stand up for themselves. I personally haven’t had issues mixing Trichromis and Thorichthys.

Both M. Argenteus and P. Friedrichsthalii (ex. Loisellei) are fantastic species. My Argenteus and Multifasciatus are some of my favourite fish in my fish room that will always remain.
My Argenteus range in size from 8-10 inches so hopefully in the near future we will see some breeding start. I am not in a rush and genuinely enjoy keeping them.
