Florida gar in ponds

Does anyone have any experience keeping Florida gar in pond liner as I’ve recently set up a 7x4x2 plywood pond lined with 0.35mm pond liner. I’ve been looking at getting a car for a while I’m just unsure if they’ll rip the liner or present any other issues. The pond is currently stocked with a marble achara cat, Arowana and a bichir. If a gar is not possible I’ve also considered a motoro ray but I’m not sure if they’ll be an issue either

More than likely fine IMO… id personally use 45 mil EPDM liner tho. Pvc, vinyl and even the more expensive rpe (reinforced poly ethylene) just arent as good quality as epdm. Epdm even comes in 60mil.

That’s probably the right call I’ve only had it set up about a week or two and I’ve already notice a minor wear on the bottom of the existing liner I think I’ll reline it this week with edpm

For the time being I think I’m going to go with the motoro ray it’s hard to come by large Florida gar over here in the uk
