Florida Gar Tankmates

Guys, how large do Florida Gars get-I have seen some in my area at atleast 4 feet-wouldn't it outgrow a 180 gallon tank-enlighten me guys!

What are some GOOD tankmates for fl gars....Ive scrolled through a ton of pages and I've come up w/ bichirs and more fl gars or tropical gars. Anything else?

that's not a good idea no matter how you look at it. when the gar eats the loach they could both be in trouble...

I have mine in with an IT, 2 ATs, 2 rays, and an Armatus.

I don't know why a clown knife would be a bad choice....mine were together for 3 years with no probs. CK about 20in and gars 12-16in.

clown loach...not knife. they have retractable spikes near the front of their faces that could possibly cause the loach to get lodged in the gars throat.

Db what is an IT and AT? I would like to throw some catfish in besides the raphaels....anyone have any suggestions? And if Im gonna add another gar what is the min. size I can throw in? My fl gar is about 12''.

ive kept my gar with a silver and black aro,various polys,african lungfish (dont try unless you are sure its a non-aggro lungfish),geos,tilapia,clown knife,hujeta,other gar,various catfish,ery ery,red snakehead (only for a short while).
all fish were at the same size.
