Whats the smallest fl/spotted gar I can add w/ my 12"?

i think 8" would be a safe bet.

With my Gar I have 1 Clown Knife (Great Tank mate for the Gar), 7 Bichirs (5 albinos), 3 Purple-Spotted Gobies and 1 Blue two spot Gouramie (the gar will probably look at him as food within a few months).

I'd recommend bigger Bichirs and the Clown Knife I'm not sure whether the Gobies will grow quick enough to stay in there with him? They do eat like crazy though.

I have a 12" fl gar, a 13" tiger shovelnose, a one eyed 5" tiger Oscar and a 5" tarpon in my 60 gallon tank.
