And that´s exacly the one Im talking about;) it doesant mater if its a comon or a Macroclemmys the kind of damage they can do its the same and alis have more powerfull jaws. They treat other turtles like prey. It can easily crush one of your slider´s head or amputate fingers, menber, tail, etc. At 3 inches long they are well passed the newborn hachling state in wich some breeders keep them togeter. And I have yet to see any evidence that they are Less agressive then comons. From what Ive observed so far comons are simply more active then aligators and take a more proactive atitude when you take them out of the water. But agression is the same. Your sliders dont deserve to lose a limb or even their lifes just because their "owner" didnt want to put them apart:irked:

Ok man I'll take your advise into account. Although my macro has been behaving quite well you have me set to think maybe I 've been acting like this guy:

Yes I think it would definitely be a good idea to separate them ASAP.

Didn't someone on here have a Alligator Snapper that bit the head off a Common Snapper while they were feeding?

Set the tank temperature at 28, thats a great temperature for most turtles spices, they eat a lot and are more active.

Try to offer it some fish fillet small pieces just be patient.

By the way, how long has the turtle been without eating for?

We have to stablish the difference between a normal temporary lack of apetite and a desease.

I had one of those and he was a hell of a hunter showing great apetite since the beginning, but animals as well as people have their own personallity.

Cheers.

You forgot to say degrees celcius;) That temp in F inst good:grinno: If your feeding fish filet give only a litle. Dont forget he´s still getting used to its new home. Give it some time and try a variety of the foods we sugested earlier. Can you take pics of the turt and setup?

Ok so i put some frozen white shrimp(the fish food kind) and he stretched out his long neck from the sand, then he pretty much hogged all of the shrimp to himself, it was very entertaining to watch him eat, so i think it was just him getting used to his new home :) and it hadn't even bee a week without eating i was just worring
