Flower horn bulged belly

I have got a new 3-4 inch flower horn yesterday and it has a fat belly. He is very active though. Feeding him 6 xo humpy head pellets 2 times a day keeping 12 hrs gap. He was very stressed in the fish store. Does it have some bacterial infection?? Or just a constipation?? Your guidence is really appreciate.

If he is eating and pooping, I would say he is fine. Some FH (mostly SRD) will always have a big belly as it is in some of their genes. If that's the case, you could stop feeding him all together and the belly would still be big.

Hate those big belly red dragons, try feeding him lightly and see if it changes belly size. Humpy head is not the great food out there, feed hikari bio gold plus.

I dislike them as well. Unfortunately one of the small SRD's I recently got has it. Great fish in every other way, but I can't stand the big belly!

It's getting ignored a lot, came across this video, most fish on sale look like they have fat belly, some how kok size looks relative to belly size in all the fish, might be just the coincidence

As long as everything else seems normal it's probably just genetic. Fat a*s double chin.

Yeah that's normal some seem to get it more than others, this is my FH you can see he's the same.
