They breed with Midas and RD and Texas and JD and Jag and... you get the point, just depends on the fish itself really.

Treat them like you would most CA cichlids. They are a hybrid mutt so they are pretty tolerant of a broad range of params. Mine seem to prefer a salted tank, which works out well for my eels.

Yeahup.. like any other CA/SA Cichlid.. I keep mine at about 8.2 pH.. that's only because that's how the tap water is here.. and I keep mine at 85 degrees as normal temp.. and raise to 90 if they get sick.. but 86 seems to be best for 'em so far..

How fast do FHs grow usually? My midas I had before grew to about 10" in less than 2 years...

Flowerhorns grow pretty fast, I believe.. I think they can get to 10" in a year..
