What are the other parameters right now?
I was able to get some hermits in there in the first few days, they have a pretty good tolerance to parameters.

My ammonia is 0 but nitrites still seem in excess of 5ppm.. I tested after my change and see no difference so I think I went overboard on my ammonia spike for this size tank. They’ve been elevated for Atleast a week. I expect to see some progress where I can actually read the nitrite levels accurately by Wednesday. As far as the others my salinity is around 1.025. Haven’t done any other testing as I’m just using the nutri seawater

Give it another day or two just to make sure everything’s stable, and you should be ready for your first livestock!

Excluding the skimmer (you don’t need it) the kit was $120 plus a $20 wave pump and $25 heater (comes with everything else). With sand and rock it was $225 total but the rock i got is more expensive. (add nutri seawater $15 per 5 gallons, you’ll need 3) and you’re at $270. Add a clown pair ($30 for this chocolate pair) crabs and snails like $15-20.

Id say $300 definitely gets you all you want. My biggest recommendation is that you put it somewhere you spend a lot of time if you do.
