Two questions. Did your black sand come with the packets of clarifier? And if not how long did it take for the water to clear?

honestly I dumped my sand in and never sifted for a packet, I saw a YouTube video that had a packet but it was like a week later so I said f it? it took 2 days to clear up, don’t add any additional flow until then and definitely don’t wash it!
Ok good. I have used their freshwater products and it came with the packet. This time it did not. I have the tank up and running with a nice little power head. Will give it a few days. Thanks.

Also curious. Is your divider between the tank and the sump attached at an angle. The side where my pump is is just about 8 inches from the edge of the tank. Where the intake is almost 9 inches.
Hopefully you can see what I am talking about. There really isn’t anything I can do at this point. Everything looks secure and the tank is up and running as I hadn’t noticed it prior to putting everything in.
That’s weird but don’t think it’ll be an issue if the pump fits, you may wanna move the heater to the overflow slot if you need more space plus you don’t have to worry about it cracking if the water drops
