When all else fails, snails and crabs do the heavy lifting on algae. My astreas are better at algae control than my weekly water changes and scrapings ever did.So far so good. I leave the lights on for about 3 hours per day. I am also keeping the nitrates as low as possible with water changes hopefully to keep the algae from having food.
I think I am going to slowly start adding more crabs and snails.
Probably just a different species.Already starting to look for a larger salt water tank. This is bad. ?
One of my crabs has a giant claw. As the other two do not I am guessing this is not normal.
