fluval vs. eheim vs. rena...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would remove some portion of your gravel, so its not as deep.
also high flow would help suspend waste in the water column until its sucked in to the filter and would help penetration of flow in the gravel.

im planing to get a canister filter i decided on ehiem, because there supposed to be the nicest and quietest.

I've used Rena, Fluval, Marineland, and currently Eheim on several sizes of tanks. Eheim is the king but you pay twice as much for them. Fluval is decently priced and does a good job. I still use Rena on 56 gal fw and it does a good job. I only use Eheim 2080 on a 150 gallon fw and all water specs are wonderful every time i check. (as you know a filter will not replace a good water change and gravel vacuum periodically.)

the ? was whats the best

eheim are the best

Eheim 2260, I love mine.

ehiems i hear are great but u pay and arm and a leg. for cost and effectiveness for the filter then FX5 will win. cost less and does a great job
