fogo and azual?

Probably not... as there aren't any confirmed in the hobby yet....
 
Nah, no clue what they look like maybe a lil tint of red on the fins? but thats all i would look for. i know what momns,tems, and oc look like but thats about all..

go check out the variants thread milky, their are tons of pb with red fins. at such a small size theirs only one way to find out for shore:naughty:
 
I imagine baby fogos would look an awful lot like baby orinos. I certainly don't think it would be easy to distinguish them while they are small

Good call blacktip! I agree 100%!

I will bet all my azuls that they are not fogos! Don't waste your time and money!
 
Might buy 1 and see what it turns out to be, but the guy dosent work friday-monday so i gota wait..
 
I have three "Teles Pires" which is a river known to have fogos. When small they looked identical to monos. As they are maturing they have the unique pattern on their backs and the ventral and anal fins are starting to get quite red. A hint of red is coming in on their throats.

From what I have gathered Fogos don't color up until they are quite large and about 2 years old. Even then they may look completely different in captivity. There's no gurantee they'll be as red as their wild counterparts.

whether they color up or not those are some very nice bass you have...are they still very spangled?
