I second that. Save the ammo and work on shot placement. Being able to make head shots a 100 yards with a M4 with iron sites on a B27 target is a much "cooler" skill to have.
 
I hate to say it but I am a HORRID shot but I must admit that "head shots" on a B27 is about as easy as it gets. If you cant do approximately 8MOA with irons out of a solid platform like an M4 youre doing it wrong. Even with an AK and slowly squeezed off shots that is pretty simple. Move that out to 200 yards then I will be impressed!

Seriously consider the P22. Its the most fun plinker I own and great to introduce newbs and wimmen to the sport!

P22's are not expensive! A local gun shop in town has them for $286 brand spankin new! Used they can easily be had in the $250 range.
 
never tried it myself because as JD said, ammo is too damn expensive! i prefer to send them downrange one at a time :)

iv only seen walther p22's only around 400 bucks. if i could get one 250 id pick it up instantly!

And again for those of u that feel obligated to chime in purly for the pointless incite of "learn to shoot" or "only one at a time". Again, im not that bad of a shot, i can shoot, im just looking for a little fun. Not sure why many of u can not grasp that fact but if u feel u should post something along those line, plz refrain. Heard about it years ago, i think its really interesting, and a pretty good way to get a semi to look full auto!
 
Hit up local gun shows and local classifieds. Unless they are strangely over priced in your region, you should be able to fine one.

Heck, let me think about it but I might sell you mine. After shipping and FFL fees it would be in the $300 price range but thats better then $400!

Mine is all black and I want an OD frame.
