I've heard about it a few yearsa ago. But, I've heard that it is really hard on the gun. I think it wears the sear pin or the recoil spring.

Get a P22, I have over 600 rounds through mine and have yet to clean with exactly ONE failure (FTE). That is about as good as any .22lr auto is going to get.

^ this all day long. I LOVE my P22, I had to buy it to get a HG that my wife was more comfortable to shoot because she was a little afraid of her 9mm Ruger at first. It turns out to be one of my favorite. Will take any ammo (and I'm talkin cheap Walmart), never gets locked up, no problems at all. It's a fun gun. I paid $330 for mine because it came with the laser sight that comes from Walther (worthless in even the dimest light BTW). The wife wanted the laser sight because of all the Underworld movies lol.

Never bump shot before, doesn't seem very safe.

so is it hard to do?

and ive heard mixd things on the intratech. From what iv read, it depends on ur ammo and the mag. Some people swear by them others curse them. also i heard that if u take a dremal and work with certain points in makes a world of difference. Im thinking about tryin it. found one for 200. DO u know of any other cheap semi .22? pref pistol?

oh and semperfish.... i really dont need ur pointless incite. Plz refrain. I can hit my target, im actually pretty accurate up to 200 yards. past that im only really ok... past 300 iv never tryd.

and u can hit the target from the hip. but its not the easyist.... :naughty:

i never heard of anyone being disappointed with a browning buckmark .22 including myself. very accurate, reliable, cheap ($250 new) and easy to take down. lots of aftermarket stuff to toy with too. i sold my p22 (too picky with ammo, *loved hot cheap ammo but hated a lot of the target ammo) and ruger 22/45 (what a pain in the ass to clean) after i got my browning! but, to each their own, have fun.

My thoughts are along the lines of JD7.62 except I'm likely to be seriously critical on my opinions of how just stupid and pointless Bump firing is.

On the whole P22 thing yeah they are nice. I do not own one but have fired a few. I'm personally fond of my .22 TT-33 that fits this particular place in my collection. Rare gun though and not a common item.

lol. ok man! thanks for being nice but still offering ur opinion. it would be pointless but fun, and u cant deny it wouldnt be. lol. I love being percise but sometimes its just fun to destroy targets or even just shoot the gun. thats the only reason iv even considerd it.

Only if you want to do some real time in federal lock up. The level of bad idea on this one can't be over stated.

Bump fire is dancing around the trigger sweat spot using your guns recoil and load action. In order to get this to work you have to make sure your gun is really clean and well oiled, any dirt will slow the action and it won't work. It's take some practice to get just the right amount of pressure to get it to work, and this will depend on your gun specifically. The loading action is what is actually pulling the trigger and the recoil is resetting (can't remember correct term) so the gun can be fired again by the proceeding loading action.

Keep in mind that this will increase the wear on the gun. Also when you are doing this you will NOT be in complete control of the firearm so safety is a factor.

i wasnt talking about modding the gun. just polishing certain points. read the whole statement. :p
