Wife is on me about a suv shes comft. In so man its a little hard i was looking into the x5. 2009 vs a 2002 corvette but "NO WE NEED A FAMILU SUV NOT A SINGLES CAR"
lol

I'm looking in the Mercedes ML320s myself. The X5 was its competition. X5 are pretty pricey still.

Me thinks the MDX is kinda girly, doesn't sound like what you're looking for. I've heard they aren't much to look at from underneath but idk what that means.

Mercedes uses the same wiring to make their harnesses that BMW uses so you're gonna be looking at similar issues, fortunately Mercedes shields their harness es from heat better than BMW so they last a li'l longer but still not forever.

MDX are great little SUV. Transmissions are junk though.

The trany isn't really junk, ppl just don't realize that you need to do trany flushes (takes 12 quarts of fluid and replaces all the dirty fluid in the trans AND torque converter). If you don't do regular flushes and let the dirt sit in the trany and go through all the little passages in the trany of course the transmission will fail. You change the engine oil right? So why not do the trany too, like you're supposed to?

Ever think that is what causes trans failures? My entire family and friends of my family all car people by the way will tell you not to change the trans fluid. Doing so removes impurities that are actually beneficial to the trans. Maybe it is the fact that all these manufacturers know that telling you at this many miles you should do this is what is causing the problem.

All I can say is I work for one of the largest used auto parts companies on East Coast, and we cant keep MDX tranny is stock. (meaning they go bad constantly) Whatever the reason is.
