LMFAO.

Hey you should see the mutations mother nature produces.
What's that? you have eyes? oh, then you see them everyday.
everywhere.

coaxing biological change into something that benefits us is good.
Think what would happen if we started selectivly breeding wolves
we could make ALL THE BREEDS OF DOGS.

The scientists behind the salmon have created safeguards to prevent any danger of them escaping and breeding with the wild population. These include ensuring all the fish involved are female and sterile.

Now where have we heard that before? I call BS on them not being able to escape.

On the environment, a second team of scientists concluded the safeguards put in place by Aqua Bounty would be sufficient to allow production to go ahead.

Yeah because we as humans have such a good track record with this.

While the GM fish are supposed to be sterile, critics said up to 5 per cent might be able to conceive and breed if they got into the wild.

Wait didn't they say earlier in the article that "all the fish involved are female and sterile", now it's 5% percent could breed. So which is it? You can't have your cake and eat too.
??

Hmmm, forget eating them, let them make us some real monster fish :p

Seriously though, they're starting too play god more and more. There's gonna be a disaster.

Nice! was hoping that these would be approved. They cant reporduce btw

the speed that they can make food can really help the food problems.

Because people need to have their DNA scrambled so badly they are just lining up for these corrupted fillets. The worst part is, the labels aren't required to tell the customer they are buying dangerous meat!

dude its not gonna hurt anyone. it sure as hell aint gonna mess with thier genetic make up.

whoh........i wonder if they would even tell you it was a mutated salmon or just sell it as normal salmon ...we will never know we are even eating it
i guess we were lucky to find out
we all eat chicken though and beef dont we
they are both packed with hormones and are different these days thats for sure

:D yessssss

I'm all for it so long as they are confined to farming situations. With the ever rising demand for seafood why not produce an animal that can get to market faster? It will help take stress off the wild stocks and the ecosystems dependent upon them. GM isn't much different than selective breeding when you think about it.

Hormones aren't used on chickens, just bred them down for quick growth and extra muscle tissue. Companies just put "hormone free" on chicken as a marketing ploy, it all is.
