What are some of what you consider the most freaky / bazzare things you have actualy eaten? What is freaky to some may be normal to others... Here are some of my favorites. Most were during travel to Asia
  • Fried Cow Brain Sandwitches (My mom used to make these for us.. Pre-Mad Cow)
  • Chicken Feet
  • Duck Tongue
  • Sea Cucumber
  • Fish Head Curry
  • Jellyfish
  • Deer Penis and Chinese Herbal Soup (They said "it's good for man!" lol )
Sorry I draw the line at insects... never had any

I'd eat insects over deer penis soup any day ;)

I remember trying this dish at a Vietnamese restaurant... it was basically congealed cubes of spiced blood (not sure what animal). Tasted like it sounds:eek:

I eat tons of Vietnamese and Indian food, but haven't found much weird stuff. My favourite is a Sri Lankan dish - it is a spicy garlic curry. Think of dozens of whole garlic cloves in the spiciest curry you can imagine

Oh, I remember the congealed blood... forgot that one. Usualy it is pig blood. It was one of the many things we put into what they call "Spicy Hot Pot". Basicaly it's a large boiling pot built into the table with a fire under it. They fill it with a broth spiced with Szechuan pepper and other things. Then they bring you plates of wierd things to cook in it. I don't know what it is but people in Taiwan are always trying to freak me out with food. They find out I will eat just about anything, and my tolerance for heat/spice is greater than theirs!

Come on everybody, I know you've had something strange to eat before...
Where are all the live goldfish eaters?? lol

Bump...

Come on foodies! This place is global
I know there are other adventurous eaters out there!

Maybe there are some things you think is normal and others would think ewwwe gross.
Anyone ever smell/eat Durian, or eat stinking tofu? :WHOA:

Don't tell me the most bazzare thing you ever ate was a Spicy Double Baconater at Wendys...

duck tongue isnt that bad had one last night from the peking ducks we ordered then again it was on a dare and covered in hoisen sauce.

Also how do eat your seacucumber raw or cooked, Korean have something called jellyfish salad kinda salty and crunchy. If you like sea urchin eggs try sea squirts.
