You can get nicer colours in FW inverts than in marine and the fish can recognise their owners loads and marine fish are such delicate pussies.

more color in freshwater inverts than in salt?

I have done both, and I voted for both.

I prefer FW though and only keep FW currently.

In the future if I am loaded I'd do a large SW tank but for now it'll be Fresh only.

i've had SW ]V[onsters that were colourful + could recognise me + weren't "delicate pussies"

ive had saltwater fish survive much more stress than any of my freshwater ones...

example: a powerstrip which two saltwater tanks and one freshwater was hooked up to came unplugged and was that way overnight *oops* all my freshwater fish died which was about 5 of them and only one saltwater fish died and i had about 15 saltwater fish total.

once i had small reef aquarium,it was a norca or something like that, well nothing huge or not even big but it looked beautiful,I had some basic corals in there and 2 of those clown fish's plus few small shrimps and tiny crab that came with the coral,I have sold it ages ago because it was to expensive to keep and also because i needed money to support my freshwater aquarium and i think that both are awesome but saltwater needs way more attention, money and time,I was lucky that i bought an used one so everything was there already set up and I just had to transfer it to my house but also another killer of saltwater set up are the cost of fish's and corals but also it's very complicated, thanks god that my LFS have helped me allot if not him all my corals would possibly die.
but I still rather go with Freshwater because of the cost and type of fish's that live in Freshwater such as Arowana's,Oscar's,RTC's,Peacock Bass's many others
but if i would be loaded i wouldn't mind 20000 gallon aquarium with 3 meters shark's in it :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

i cant say one is better than the other because i havent tried sw yet

I think fresh because not only do you get monster fish from fresh, but its also cheaper but that depends on what your getting like if your getting a shark aquarium then it would be much more expensive than getting supplies for a tank for some freshwater beast. (then again it depends on what freshwater beast your getting)

But sure saltwater has much more colorful fish, but fresh water is an ever lasting venture!

FW to me is kinda like Ford or chevy cheap to buy and fix not as fun or flashy but it will get you there

SW to me is kinda like Ferrari or Lambo Expensive to buy and complicated to fix but drops jaws end of story

i agree... especially the cheap part... my parents have learned to hate FW and really only want me to keep saltwater lol which is fine with me but it seems kinda :screwy: with the price of it
