i add marine salt because it has complete minerals like vitamins. I use marine salt as a medicine or bath if you will. I also use marine salt as a cycled dip. I use a plastic container and cycle the container or tank with a black molly 1 doller from pet store. You need to cycle for two weeks with power head or filter in tank. Do a partial salt or brackish set up. Black molley is good fish for this. Then afer two weeks the tank is cycled dip sick fish in the tank it will kill any bad germs if you will on the fish. Salt water kill freshwater germs if you will and the reverse Freshwater is a good dip for saltwater fish. Its like a H2o2 dip if you will. UV Bulbs good I see good for six months Thanks for interest.

It's always nice to see the tanks and rays of the people offering advice in sick ray threads......

I bet the "catfish" really enjoy the salt.......
