freshwater sand bottom help

Thankyou, ya i added it like an hour before i posted the pics, i was really suprized at how it settled so fast.

Ya for about an hour we kept hearing the filter make some funny noises, but waking up this morning everything is quiet and everyone is out swimming around.
 
Ye give it a wash it creates a horrid scum on the water if you dont and there are sometimes other things mixed in there too i found a couple of worms in my 25kg sack of sand and a piece of plastic lol and that was proper bagged sand for marine tanks not the crap stuff so id wash it. Better sage than sorry there is a lot of dirt that comes out of it when you eash it so ye wash it!

Ya it was all washed before putting it in.

wash it in a bucket, your fish should be fine.

Clean sand won't cloud the water when it is poured into the tank. The problem is that most people are way too impatient to properly clean the sand.
