The Red line Snake head aka Giant Snake head is going to outgrow that small aquarium very soon also will probably be your main killer. If you care at all please take the advice that has been given.

I am not an expert here, in fact i am still a really newbie here. But since he just start keeping predator fish from 5 months ago by himself ( i mean without his parents help) and i had kept fish like those from 5 years ago by myself and have experience similar mistake( although i used to run a 150 gal tank with an 1 aro 1 florida gar 1 senegal bichir 1 datz and 1 fire eel so it is not as crowded as his tank. But i returned most of them since i realized it will be a mess if they eventually hit the full size all of them), i always advise him to plan plan and plan for the future but here we are at the current condition. I even already gave him the idea of planning by saying that even with my new tank that is 60 x 40 x 40 cm tank, which is similar to his, i would think twice to put my 16 cm senegal bichir ALONE inside since even at modest 25 cm, my tank wont be very suficient for another medium size fish

Yes. I already told him that the snakehead probably gonna kill the paima or stressed it out. He said he is going to buy a new 50 cm tank. But i told him if you move your snakehead, you have to accept that your snakehead will probably die because of the uncycle tank and it will not hold him for long time

40 gallon tank or any of these fish is too small most of these fish will grow larger than the tank itself. so its not a matter of which ones he could keep in this tank its a matter of either get rid of the fish or build a larger tank but i don't believe either will happen in this situation

New 50cm tank is going to be a waste of money. Pacu grow to a meter in length and 60 lbs. Even the 2.5m tank is going to be nowhere near large enough to keep all of the fish he has. Arapaima grow to 2m in length.
I understand that you don't want to rain on your friend's parade, but he needs to understand what he is doing is animal cruelty. Tell him to sell his fish. He is not going to be able to get a tank large enough to keep all the fish he already has unless he builds a public aquarium style monster tank. There is a reason Arapaima are not sold commonly in fish stores and have to be ordered- they are a specialty fish which should only be kept by exceptional fishkeepers with gigantic tanks. That is not your friend.
