I have 2 24 inchers in my 300 and as active as they are at night, I dont think it is enough room.

A shoal of large clown loaches upwards of 5-6 inches would work. Severums, datnoids, and ornate bichirs are all good tankmates as well. If you do the severum, I'd only get one to avoid a breeding pair. If you get two and they happen to breed, they will be very aggressive and can kill your tank. I would definitely upgrade the tank from a 100 gallon.

Not all Cichlids are aggressive. I'm not a Cichlid person per-say, but I've heard that Chocolate Cichlids aren't aggressive. And even semi-aggressive may work. Oscars are always hit or miss with aggression.

Are severums another option, Ben? They're bulky at 10-12 inches, average at 8-10 inches. Mild tempered just like uarus.

Severums are excellent options. I always keep a single severum with my CK.
