Thanks for the comments everyone! glad you liked them.

as for the tank size, it was a 40g. that was hell of a job raising about 800 baby oscars up to 1.5" in that tank! :screwy:

since you enjoyed, here is the 3th set of pictures!

Thats alot of o's

was it hard to get them to breed?

Time to find them some good homes

amazing. makes me want another o

Pictures are from near 1 year ago! I sold all of them and kept only one. he is over 9" now, his pics in the first page.

and yes it wasn't easy to get them to breed, they were digging and cleaning for several months after they paired off, and finally moving them to another tank was trigger to their spawn.

4th and last shot are mental!

How did you manage to take care of so many O's!

Fortunately it was summer and I was not busy, I raised them for 2 months.
in the first month hatching millions of brine shrimps 3 times a day was very annoying and in the second month that they were eating tiny pellets, daily +70% water change and filter cleaning was a pain in the ***!

after all, that was a great experience. I've missed all those little babies. if I find some time and space I will make my pair breed again this summer.
