the potution a FRT produce is unreal unlike any monster fish

i have seen a 20inch FRT the pictures are in my gallery on arofanatics

i had 2 x baby FRT and they fight so badly i sold one but the one i kept grew from the small size in the pic to the larger killer size in less than 18 months

Oh, correction taken. However most of the people seem to have slow growing turtles, and they dont reach that size even after they had it for 4 years. Whats your secret to boosting growth? Whats the average growth rate?

he just started eatting the bits of prawn the aro missed

i think the reason he grow so fast is due to the many many water changes i was doing to try to lower the nitrates which were of the scale with the FRT in the tank

the aro used to keep the FRT in his place but when i sold the aro waiting for a new xback the FRT went mad and killed loads of fish he didnt even eat them just killed them

the fast growth rate may have been down to amount of protein he was getting from the prawns

if you try to keep a FRT with a ray then it will grow as fast as this one as you will need to throw loads of prawns and meaty foods in for the aro and the FRT will also try to eat them which will cause conflict

i had a 2 year brake from rays when i was keeping the FRT just to see what all the fuss was about and yes they are great as long as you dont keep them with any bottom dwellers or fish that rest near the bottom at night

you may get away with a aro

Right now Im may throw the frt in with some cichlids when it gets bigger. I heard this might cause conflicts too but honestly Im going to try it.

pics of the turtle are in the photo section. I have better pics that are on my home computer which I will upload during thanksgiving

i once tried the frt and cichlid combo...they would pick at his tail thinking is was a worm or something!

i have looked every were for this picture i saw a few weeks ago :D

in one of the earlyer posts someone said that FRT cant get to 24inch shell size well look at this and i have seen a bigger FRT :D

now would you put this in with rays

i havent asked the owner of this picture if i can use it but im sure he wont mind

I have had FRT's in tanks with stingrays for years without any problems but I also have heard of poeple that have had problems. I have a 12" FRT in a tank with two Leo's and the Leo's keep the FRT in his place..
