I like the way he looks in both outfits. As part of the diet for mine I feed them Hikari Bio Gold pellets....it's for carnivorous fish...has some garlic to make it irresistible. I got my pair when they were around 6" and I think the were only feed feeders but that's a guess. They didn't seem to interested in anything after the initial splash into the water. The started tearing up krill in no time along with bloodworms and it took a couple of days but they love those pellets now as well. Might want to give those's a try if you haven't already.

Can't believe the color change overnight...he's only eating thawed silversides and market shrimp right now.

im wondering if a 20 gal is big enough to grow a jag to 4"-6" then move to my 90? Evevtually a 125 or 180 will be his perm home w a few other fish

He and his girlfriend have been breeding every few weeks and growing into a nice looking pair. To my own surprise I've shown some restraint, they are both still alone in the 150G. I haven't been raising any of the fry. I'm still feeding every third day (silversides, market shrimp, night crawlers, prawn, crayfish). 50% water changes weekly.
