So what is so good about it? What kind of media does it come with? How is the maintenance? How often do you need to replace the media? How often do you need to clean it? what's the pros and cons? I mean it can't be 100% foolproof..there's gotta be some flaws no matter how minor it is. For all we know you are marketing this product :) So fill in the blanks :)

Not sure if you were addressing me on this - go do a search on this site and find out for yourself ( no spoon feeding here, sorry). More than enough info is posted on this filter
(just type "Fluval fx5" or Fx5). You got moderators and established members giving high remarks about this filter. The feedback is 100% and extensive so go ask them if they are marketing the product too - LOL :headbang2

I USE TWO BECAUSE I WANT PURE WATER CURRENT,AND PURE CLARITY....AND HIGHLY OXYGENATED.WATER,,,,THE SHARKS AND TINFOILS LOVE IT,,,, GROW BIG FAT AND HEALTHY.:headbang2

6x2x2 is 180gallon. The FX5 is for tanks upto 400gallon why is that not enough for you i'm confused ? it's more than enough to give you clean crisp water conditions... :grinyes:

I have a fluval FX5 on my 6x2x2 and it does fine on it's own my waters a little cloudy still as i've only had it 7 weeks or so and it's still cycling.

What media are you using in your FX5 ?

Well you Can find this filter as low as $209 on ebay plus $10 dallor warranty and $25 shipping... they're are some websites selling them for $250 shipped.... which a pretty good price considering i've seen them going for up to $330.00. As far as water movement... it has two exhaust nozzels that rotate 360 degrees. I'm going to hooking one up to my 300gallon indoor pond... we'll see how it turns out.

:lol2: You completely misunderstood the post I made. It is not an attack but a question as to why it is SO GOOD! Just because someone say it is "VERY GOOD" doesn't make it good. When you post something about a product, usually, you would make valid objectve points as to why it is a very good product. Just saying it is GOOD does not justify the product being good. And I have search the net about information, and most of the data I found are just based on the martketing ads. I have not seen an objective rating on this product, mostly subjectve. :lol2: So before you start a crazy post, look at the big picture. Inhale, exhale. Oxygen helps to keep the brain thinking clear. :)

Have to concur, I've running one on my 180g and its doing a fantastic job. I've always been a Fluval man currently running 3 x 403 and 2 x 404 and the FX5.
