"There are way too many threads with FX5 issues. Leaking, stopping, micro-bubbles and many more, but yet so many people swear by them and recommend them. Fluval have gone downhill just like
Marineland. All they are concerned with is profit and thus their products and customers suffer. I would stay away from both manufacturers"
This is a post made just recently by the system administrator on the FX5. Just wanted to include this for the record. OK I'm done back to the issues at hand just found this and wanted to include it.
Lol. Well the most popular canister filter is going to have a lot of sales, and for people new to canisters or aquariums of course their going to have problems, if the fx5 was my first filter I would have alot of questions too, and the micro bubble problem is from the filter pads clogging up after a week or so, I have helped so many fx5 users and many of them have theirs up and running as we speak.
I too had air in my canister and that was due to the hose not being attatched all the way in the rubber boot. I've seen all ur fx5 hate threads and i guess you got the attention you wanted. But for every dissatisfied hagen customer there's 1000 happy ones.
Ac110 and fx5 speak for themselves, some members have a had ac110 10 years plus and never had a problem.
