Just set mine up, seems built ok, silent, looks cool with the little UV light on top... First tested it empty not even the trays in it just hoses no intake or spray bar, flowed like an ac110 pushing through a tube pretty strong flow... filled first tray with as much ehfi mech as I could then next tray with seachem matrix and the top tray with more matrix leaving just enough room for the blue filter pad on top, I did not use the white fine filter pads because I was worried about flow and have hobs for mech and polishing, so after filled eh its ok someone said it earlier about the same flow as a penguin 400 I agree... Im running a 400 and a ac110 on a 55growout and now this can, I bought it because of price and to see how a cheap canisters perform so far well worth the price I got it for, original price well I would have had one already if I thought it was worth it lol So far if the pump was stronger then yeah worth the hundred but still have to see long term performance, on a plus the uv may work better with the media slowing it down...oh yeah the wierd intake tube thing at the top is it a skimmer? How do you position it, I thought it was in case it leaks it would stop at the hole as I took the cap off? instead of drilling a small hole?

Got my filters today. Did you guys receive a yellow letter like this one came with the filter? Not sure what does that mean?
I got the same letter with mine as did my mom when she got hers.

yeah I couldn't wait to open them up actually brand new inside no water. There is very good amount of space for bio media.
Not bad to use in conjunction with existing filters.
I think I'm just gonna go with pot scrubbers in 2 trays and one tray of prefilter or pads
