yeah it's a gallon each betta. I don't change water everyday. Try to change bi-weekly.

lol
I know their homes look funky but so what? They love it. Better than the cup at the store where they're jailed in.

I will show my favorite one after he's done healing. He's ugly but I don't like him for looks. Not with bettas. I will post a video of my favorite one for you guys to see

i'm still undecided ..yeah they might be able to survive that way and people keep them in conditions worse than that but shouldn't that mean as a REAL fishkeeper you should set an example of a betta in its dream home.. to me it just doesn't look right..might just be my human instinct to want to see it in a 5gallon with plants and things to stimulate it so it doesn't get depressed ... i mean whats it got to look forward to? food and ...thats it. i don't even like bettas but i have had one when i was younger so IMO your just keeping them alive nothing more ......

i can your point but u miss a key point about betta's... they are happiest in small shallow body's of water with little to no water movement. they lay bubble nest to breath and as most breeders see it only when they are completely happy with their environment. notice both Au Doung Phong's jug's have nest on top of the water. their for one should presume that the fish are perfectly happy with their environment.

Cool setup. Where do you get your fish? I had an all black male Plakat a few month ago. I think it finally died of old age. I miss that thing.

Very good observation. Yes they are very healthy and happy. I try to not change their waters too much but I can't help it.

That's how they like to live. I don't want them in anything bigger unless theyre breeding. That's actually very roomy for bettas. And I have lots of them. All are happy and active. They have banana leaves as plants for shades and to rest on..
