Is that a trick question?

lol

Right now it's summer so they stay at room temp. Winter time I keep them in anywhere warm at around 82

what is in there with the bettas? looks like leaves

banana leaves to lower ph, prevent illness, and tighten scales.

not really just cos they com from a terrible life does not make it right to keep them in such small quarters

I like the little tank and little filter and little heater.. i would go crazy doing water changes from those bottles.. but bettas are happier then little cups..

Betta's are labyrinth breathers. They live in very very shallow puddles and hop from puddle to puddle. Betta's are just fine in those jugs. To further replicate their "natural habitat" (wild Betta's are very distant to the colorful ones we buy) He would cut the bottles in half and fill them with mud......I think that part cat be OMITTED in the home setup....Don't you guys? They have ample room, he already said they get more space to breed......I am confused? He is a terrific fish keeper, many many pretty fishes. He could probably give us a little advice on a couple things. He obviously knew the "traditional" way they are kept. I have researched Betta's forever and have never ran across that. I feel like I have learned something new......

So I should turn my whole room into a very large 5000g for a betta right?

no but you have to agree that they could have better quality of life with a few more water changes and a heater/filter .... ;) you know i'm right

current can cause server fin rot in betta's bubble filters or regular waterchanges is best!
