What ever that Gars species name is doesn't really matter, that Gar is amazing looking regardless! Your planted tank looks awesome too, he fits right in. I can't believe his broken back healed back to normal. Tuff fish you have. He's a survivor, that's for sure. Very nice stuff.

I am absolutely gutted to share this with you guys but my boy choked to death on a piece of cut fish last night that must have been just a little too big for him. Absolutely crushed I feel like I failed him, I fed the tank and went to bed and when I got up this morning he was gone. Swim in peace Garth Vader, forever lord of the fish
