i have a 29 gallon biocube HQI with sump/fuge. i have spent over $3500 easily (with equiptment alone)........so setting up a S/w tank can get expsnive. but its worth it!
:grinno::grinno::grinno::grinno::grinno::grinno:

I see people selling 225 gallon tanks, setup for reefs, with all the goodies but LR for 1200-1400 bucks all day long.

PSI is only required to be about 35+, genrally you should have no problem getting that.

BRS systems are recommended at 50 psi, 35+ is the bare minimum with that you're still going to have some dissolved solids in your tank. I had around 30-40psi but my dad tweaked the water pump and now we get an easy 45-50 but the TDS when it was at 35 psi was around 8-15 out. Now its 0 with 50 psi, and even at that i still want to add a booster pump just so the membrane is getting worked to its fullest.

But seriously like i said keep saving and don't skimp/cheap out on any equipment. Its just going to give you head aches down the road. Buy good quality products that are going to last you years.

SW aquaria is one place where you get what you pay for...thats for sure.

At least most of the time.

And yes...the ammount of money spent on some of my tanks will not be mentioned. But its lots. Lets just say the money spent on my 75g tank over the course of 8 years could have bought me another small vehicle. Or a small truck.

Lets bring labor into the price, shall we? :D :D

Let's admit it, this isn't a cheap hobby and isn't a hobby to cheap out in. The more you put into it the more you get out of it.
