Anyway, I've heard both as far as nicaraguense go, that they can be aggressive but I've also heard they can be relatively peaceful. I tend to read more that they're more on the peaceful side than aggressive but ultimately it will come down to the individual fish.
i've also read that males can be quite nasty towards one another but seem to do well with 1 male to a group of females in a harem style set-up. i have looked up some pictures and they are a gorgeous fish.
