Geophagus brasiliensis finally bred

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that's a bit too big lol right now they are only in a 29g but will be getting an upgrade shortly. I wanted to take the babies out but I don't have any place to put them until I get rid of these Jewel and Convict fry. I also have other cichlid pairs I want to separate too, but somehow w/ 11 tanks I still need more room
That's how big I'd want if I got another one, then he/she would have "lots" of room. :D

And I hate to say it but... Maybe you need less fis- I mean, more tanks ;)

I actually swapped the bulbs and used a 10.0 UVB reptile light on them, that's why they look so blue. My neighbor needed a light since his was burning out, so I gave him a ZooMed 10.0 and I liked it so much, I popped one in for myself afterwards..MUCHO BLUE-O

Nice I never thought of using reptile lights for fish.

They were past expiration date, so I figured might as well use them for something. I have TONS of UVBs laying around cuz I never throw them away after the 6-12 month expiration; UVB-decay rate

grows healthy green algae too

Update, fry are about 4 months old and they are about 3/4" some are still smaller though. Managed to get a good shot or 2 - they are actually starting to look like FISH!!! 2nd-to-last pic is easily the best, clearest shot
